MAKING IDENTITY VISIBLE

My Approach

Photography allows me to enter new worlds with openness and curiosity,
and to make visible what makes them alive and unique.

When working with individuals, businesses and organisations I look for what lies beneath the surface: the people, values, relationships and stories that give them their identity.

My deep fascination with the human experience draws me into different cultures, communities, organisations and ways of being in the world. I immerse myself, listen, observe, and allow myself to be moved before emerging with a visual story.

Human dignity is at the heart of my work. I want to preserve the beauty that lives within and through us, and render it translucent through the image.

My aim is to make the invisible visible through visual language: to reveal something of the essence of what I encounter, and to create images that allow others to witness it as well.

Photographer & Visual Storyteller

Born in Hochheim, Germany, and living between Europe and Mexico, I move naturally between cultures, languages and perspectives.

Photography has been the red thread running through my life. After studying literature and the arts and working in film, I decided to follow what had always been calling me: photography.

I work with individuals, organisations, communities and brands who want to make something meaningful visible: their people, their purpose, their culture, their place in the world.

I photograph with a Leica M, a chord to my German roots and to the clear vision I look for in every frame.

I believe photography can do more than show us a story.

It can make us feel identity.
